Why do we try to hide?

So as you can see I have pitifully failed at trying to start a blog, nearly a whole year has gone by!

But I guess that's what happens in life. You try to start something but inevitably life gets in the way, I don't know about you but I know I usually have to try a couple times before I can actually commit to something.

Maybe it's just me, but I guess we all got our own quirks big and small. We all have that one thing that we hope no one else notices, but is that really worth it in the end? We all have them, so why are we so desperate to hide them from everyone? We are scared that's why. We are scared that it'll disappoint someone or they'll no longer except us for who we are. But if we know that almost everyone else has these fears then why do we still try to hide them? That is the question I am still struggling to answer, because in the end we are all unique and yet all the same.

So I guess this ended up being a short, yet slightly philosophical post. I promise the next one will either be more interesting or longer (:

P.S. I suggest that if any of you guys enjoy some horror/thriller check out some Stephen King he is pretty godly. I've only read one book by him, Different Seasons, (technically I am still reading it) but it has been amazing. Warning: does contain possibly graphic literary imagery.
